The NZeTA Electronic Travel Authority is the essential permit for visitors from 60 countries, including the United Arab Emirates. The NZeTA is a mandatory entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign citizens.
Along with the eTA, the New Zealand government introduced a Tourism Tax and Conservation Levy (IVL), which means UAE travellers will be contributing to a sustainable tourism and conservation project when visiting the country with an NZeTA.

The first step consists of providing general information. Applicants need to make sure that everything is accurate, including spellings, as even the slightest error can lead to rejection.

Once travellers from the United Arab Emirates have completed the form and paid, they can submit their application.
Travelling to New Zealand from the UAE
When passing through Auckland’s International Airport or taking a layover en route to a third country, UAE passengers do not require a visa. However, they are required to apply for a New Zealand transit eTA.
Since the NZeTA is an individual online travel permit, it is directly linked to the passport used during the application. Should the passport expire before the validity of the eVisa, it will be necessary to obtain a new eTA.
There is also a new option for travellers who are in a rush and need to apply for a last-minute NZeTA: the express NZeTA option can be processed in an hour directly from the airport.
It is important for United Arab Emirates applicants to respect eTA’s terms and conditions. Moreover, NZeTA holders should leave the country before their New Zealand travel authorisation expires.
